A New Professional Curling League
You thought curling season was over (you did think curling season was over, right?), a new professional circuit is starting up.
The Rock League is expected make its debut on Monday at Toronto's Mattamy Athletic Centre right at the tail end of a busy year for the sport, following the Brier, the Scotties, and the Winter Olympics.
Organizers hope the new outfit will bring a different energy to professional curling.

Bill Could Force Telecoms to Ease Police Access
In a move that is surely to your personal benefit and could in no way possibly infringe on your freedoms, the government is once again trying to give police and intelligence agencies easier access to user data from private companies.
A new Liberal bill would force telecommunications companies and other businesses to change how they manage data so that law enforcement has the ability to get their hands on it more easily. Surely nothing to worry yourself about.
This is the government's second attempt to push through the data access rules.
