NEXUS Program Fees Set for Significant Increase
The NEXUS trusted-traveller program, facilitating quicker border crossings between Canada and the U.S., will see its application fee increase from US$50 to US$120 on October 1, 2024. This adjustment, the first in over two decades, reflects the program's operational costs and future improvements. Despite a pandemic-induced waitlist, the program, boasting over 1.8 million members, aims to manage high demand effectively. Applicants before the hike can secure their spots at the current rate, with the new fee equating to US$24 annually for a five-year membership.
